The Balance of Automated and Non Automated Systems:

There are a variety of things you can automate in marketing. You want the contact point to be as real as possible, but you also want to be able to automate systems that allow you to step back and let them run on their own. You want to make sure you can come back in and be involved to let your customers know that you’re a real, live person.

If you do something wrong in customer facing automation, you can lose a lot of legitimacy. That includes everything from social media to email marketing.
 

Faux-Pas:

Everyone needs to make sure to test their automated systems. I see it all the time - where people don’t think to go through their systems on their own to make sure everything makes sense. This is where the biggest flaws inside of automated systems come from, because you have no idea what your customer is experiencing, and you don’t know where things are likely to go wrong.

With regards to social media, make sure you understand the platform you’re automating. Don’t treat all social media the exact same - they’re different for very good reasons.
 

My Favorite Automation Softwares:

I almost always run a combination of ClickFunnels and Infusionsoft. I swear by ClickFunnels and Infusionsoft’s features are absolutely astounding.
